Outreach & Field Trips
The Discovery Museum is the best place for field trips and outreach programs!
Experience our interactive exhibits that are designed to teach and delight.
As an educator – either as a parent or classroom teacher – we know you are always looking for ways to enhance your students’ learning process and to give them lasting educational experiences. In addition to the interactive, hands-on exhibits and special presentations at the Shenandoah Valley Discovery Museum, our staff has developed a wide variety of outreach programs that focus on the sciences and mathematics, the humanities, and the arts. All of our exhibits and programs meet Virginia Standards of Learning requirements. Our Museum was named a Favorite Homeschool Field Trip destination for students following a homeschool curriculum.
Bringing a group to the Discovery Museum is fun and easy.
The Discovery Museum represents hours of learning and hands-on fun for your entire classroom or group. We can facilitate stand-alone field trips, field trips with educational programs, or even outreach programs that travel to your location. You will find a few helpful links below as well as a link to our Program Packet. If you have questions or would like to book your group with the Discovery Museum, call (540) 722-2020 ext. 116
